Copy number changes in the chromosome 20q region are very common in several types of cancer, including colon cancer. Among the interesting genes on 20q are: BCL2L1 SRC MYBL2 PTPN1 ZNF217 BCAS1 GNAS This P157 20q region probemix contains 33 probes detecting a chromosome 20q sequence, as well as five probes specific for 20p sequences and 10 probes detecting sequences on other chromosome arms, predominantly "quiet" regions in colon cancer.
