SALSA MLPA KIT P171 Gain1 & P172 Gain2 & Gain3
[
http://www.geneclinics.org/profiles/hht/details.html]
SALSA MLPA kits P171, P172 and P173 can be used to detect copy number changes of several human genes that often have a (strongly) increased copy number in one or more types of tumors. Based upon results obtained with these and other MLPA probemixes, new products for specific types of tumors will be developed by MRC-Holland in collaboration with users.
These three MLPA probemixes contain probes for the following genes. Most of these have been reported to have a higher copy number in some tumors: AKT1, BCAR3, BCAS1, BCL2, BCL2A1, BCL2L1, BCL2L11, BCL2L13, BCL6, BCLG, BIRC1, BIRC2, BIRC3, BIRC4, BIRC5, BRAF, CCNA1, CCND1, CCND2, CCND3, CCNE1, CDK4, CDK6, CENPF, CYP27B1, EGFR, EMS1, ERBB2, ERBB4, ESR1, FGF3, FGF4, FGFR1, FLJ20517, GNAS, GSTP1, HMGA1, IGF1R, IGFBP2, IGFBP4, IGFBP5, IRS2, JAK2, MDM2, MDM4, MET, MOS, MYBL1, MYBL2, MYC, MYCL1, MYCN, NFKBIE, NRAS, NTRK1, NTRK2, NTRK3, PDGFRA, PDGFRB, PIK3C2B, PIK3CA, PPM1D, PTK2, PTP4A3, PTPN1, RELA, RUNX1, SERPINB2, SERPINB7, SERPINB9, STK15, STK6, TERT and TOM1L2.
A brief description of these genes can be found on the following pages.
Suggestions for improvement of our probemixes or suggestions about other genes to be included in the Gain probemix version 4 can be send to info@mlpa.com.
Last change in probe mix content: P171 lot 0807; P172 lot 0708, P173 lot 0905
Current Lot Number.: P171 lot 0807; P172 lot 0708, P173 lot 1106
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
MLPA kits are sold by MRC-Holland for research purposes and to demonstrate the possibilities of the MLPA technique. This kit is not CE/FDA certified for use in diagnostic procedures. Salsa MLPA kits are supplied with all necessary buffers and enzymes. Purchase of the Salsa MLPA test kits includes a limited license to use these products for research purposes.
The use of this MLPA kit requires a thermocycler with heated lid and sequence type electrophoresis equipment. Different fluorescent PCR primers are available. The MLPA technique has been first described in Nucleic Acid Research 30, e57 (2002)
